How It Works

A 12W LED is integrated directly into the fitting, giving off around 498 lumens of warm 3000K light with a colour rendering index above 80, so the light stays natural rather than harsh. Because it's built in, there's no separate bulb to think about. It's not dimmable, and it's wired to Class I standards, so an earth connection is needed during installation. Its IP20 rating means there's no protection against moisture, so it belongs in dry rooms only.

Where It Works Best

It fits comfortably into hallways, living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and dining rooms, anywhere you want a low key wall feature rather than a strong light source. Given the IP20 rating, it isn't suited to bathrooms or other damp spaces, so keep it to the drier rooms of the house.

Design Details

As with the rest of the Kingsley range, a concealed magnetic base holds the plate in place, so this bottom offset hexagon can be swapped for a round, square, diamond or differently positioned hexagonal plate from the same range without needing an electrician back out. The build uses an aluminium frame, an acrylic diffuser and an iron backplate, keeping the construction simple so the offset positioning of the shape is what catches the eye.
