Can I shorten the cord?
Yes, the drop length can be adjusted down from the maximum 188cm when you're installing it. A qualified electrician can do this for you to suit your ceiling height.

Will this give me enough light for cooking?
It depends on your other kitchen lighting, but with three bulbs positioned above your island or worktop, it will give you good task light. E27 bulbs go up to 20W each, so you can dial in the brightness with your bulb choice.

Do I need an adaptor?
