With a height of 35.5cm, the lowest point of the glass sits quite a bit below the fitting body, so it has more visual presence than a flush light.

Is the black glass totally opaque?
No, the glass is dark and smoked but not completely opaque. Light glows through it when the bulbs are on, which is where the atmospheric quality comes from.

Can I position this off to one side of my ceiling?
Yes, if you use an optional ball joint adaptor, you can move the ceiling rose to the side and angle the fitting however you prefer.
