This 121cm wide pendant suspends three Tiffany glass shades from a matt black bar, letting the coloured glass become the focal point without competing metalwork. Each shade contains a dragonfly mosaic of blue and orange glass pieces with crystal accents, hand cut and soldered to create individual character in every shade. The matt black frame acts as a neutral backdrop, making the glass patterns stand out clearly.

How It Works

Three separate E27 lamp holders are positioned along the frame, each taking a standard GLS bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are not included and must be purchased separately. With dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer, you can control the light levels. The fitting is wired to Class I electrical standards, which requires an earth connection. Its IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor spaces, with no protection against moisture or splashing.

Where It Works Best

This pendant is designed for long horizontal spaces: kitchen islands, dining tables, open plan kitchens and hallways where the 121cm span can be fully appreciated. The blue and orange tones add visual interest without overwhelming the room, and the matt black keeps the fixture from dominating schemes that are already fairly neutral. Good ceiling height is helpful so the pendant can hang without creating a low feeling in the space.

Design Details

Tiffany glass is created by hand cutting coloured glass to a pattern, wrapping each piece with lead foil, and then soldering the seams. This makes each shade unique despite being made to the same design, as hand cutting introduces subtle variations. Blue and orange glass looks particularly vibrant when backlit, especially in darker rooms or evening settings. The matt black steel frame uses minimal material to support the weight without visual clutter.

Questions People Ask

How much light do three shades give?
It depends on the bulbs you use and how high you mount it. Three 60W bulbs will give good ambient light across the whole area beneath, especially if dimmable for flexibility.

Can I replace one shade if it breaks?
The shades are not sold individually, so you would need to replace the whole fitting. That said, Tiffany glass is quite durable and the shades are well protected inside the lead framework.

What's the difference between this and the antique brass version?
The frame finish only. The glass shades, dimensions, and electrical specifications are identical between matt black and brass versions.
