This shallow version of the Halstead pendant keeps the same twisted wire cage shape as its taller sibling but sits closer to the ceiling, making it a good fit for lower rooms. Finished in painted gold, it takes on a warmer, more decorative character than the graphite version, while still letting light spill out through the open structure.

How It Works

A single E27 bulb powers this fitting, sold separately, so you can pick a filament style to make the most of the open cage or a simpler bulb if you'd prefer. It's dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. It's wired to Class II standards, meaning it's double insulated and doesn't require an earth connection. With an IP20 rating, it's built for dry indoor use only.

Where It Works Best

Its shallower profile suits rooms with lower ceilings or spots where you want the fitting to sit close to the surface above, such as over a breakfast bar. It works well in living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways and stairwells, though as it's rated IP20, it isn't suitable for bathrooms.

Design Details

Like the rest of the range, this piece is made from iron shaped into an open cage structure, but the shallower form gives it a slightly different silhouette from the taller dome version. It's a design that relies on the interplay between the metal cage and the light escaping through it, rather than a solid shade hiding the bulb away.
