Fabula Epsom E27 Table Lamp with Two-Tone Velvet Shade - Satin Black & Dark Grey Wood

Ten Velvet Colours Over Dark Wood and Satin Black

With ten colour pairings, this is the widest choice in the Epsom range. This E27 table lamp with a two tone velvet shade sits on dark grey wood slats and satin black metal that look deep and smoky in our photos. The velvet drum has a soft, slightly mottled surface. The lamp is 69cm tall with a 40cm wide shade, so it should be placed with care.

Choosing Your Shade

Every option is named with two colours, and our photos show the first colour on the outside. The range runs from Black and Dark Grey to Ivory, Latte and Mink in softer neutrals. Blush Pink is a pale rose, Burnt Orange is a vivid rust and Moss Green is a deep olive. Navy is dark and rich, and Sage Green is a soft grey green. Against the black base, the bright shades such as Burnt Orange and Blush Pink stand out strongly. The shade is supplied with the lamp. This design is also made with a polished nickel and taupe wood base, with eight pairings.

Shade Options and Specifications

How It Works

There is one E27 lamp holder. The listing says you can dim the lamp with a suitable dimmable E27 lamp and a dimmer. An inline switch turns it on and off. It is a Class II fitting with an IP20 rating, so it is for indoor use.

Where It Works Best

This lamp is listed for the living room, bedroom and office. Burnt Orange suits a lounge with warm timber and mid century furniture, while Blush Pink gives a bedroom a gentle, modern feel. Navy and Black make a smart pair for a study. With the dark base, a bright velvet gives the room a strong focal point on a side table or sideboard.

Questions People Ask

Which colours are only available with the satin black base?
Blush Pink and Prosecco and Burnt Orange and Copper are listed on this base. The polished nickel version has eight pairings without them.

How does the velvet shade look against the dark base?
Bright colours such as Burnt Orange stand out strongly against the dark frame, while Black and Dark Grey give a more blended look.

Can I see the second colour in each pairing?
Our photos show the outer face of the shade, so the second colour in each name is not visible. The first colour is what you see on the outside.

What does the base look like?
It has satin black metal, dark grey wood slats that lean around a slim stem, and a round foot 18cm across.

Does the lamp work with a dimmer?
Yes, with a suitable dimmable E27 lamp and a dimmer. The inline switch only turns it on and off.
