Fabula Epsom E27 Table Lamp with Two-Tone Velvet Shade - Polished Nickel & Taupe Wood

Eight Velvet Pairings on a Bright Nickel and Wood Base

This E27 table lamp with a two tone velvet shade comes in eight colour pairings, from sleek black to soft sage. The velvet has a soft, slightly mottled surface in our photos, and the polished nickel frame with taupe wood slats makes a tall, angled base. The lamp is 69cm tall with a 40cm wide shade, so it is a big, bold piece for a table top.

Choosing Your Shade

Each option is named with two colours, such as Navy and Gold or Black and Prosecco. In our photos you see the first colour on the outside of the drum, and the second colour in each name is the other tone of the shade. The outer colours here are Black, Dark Grey, which looks a cool blue grey, Ivory, a pale warm neutral, Latte, a soft taupe, Mink, a pale blush beige, Moss Green, a deep olive, Navy and Sage Green, a soft grey green. The shade is supplied with the lamp. The same design is also made with a satin black and dark grey wood base, where Blush Pink and Burnt Orange join the line up.

Shade Options and Specifications

How It Works

The lamp has one E27 lamp holder. The listing says it can be dimmed when you use a suitable dimmable E27 lamp and a dimmer. An inline switch handles on and off. This is a Class II fitting rated IP20, so it is meant for indoor use.

Where It Works Best

Rooms listed are the living room, bedroom and office. Navy or Moss Green on a nickel base looks rich in a lounge with dark paint or brass accents. Ivory, Latte and Mink are calmer choices for a bedside table. Sage Green gives a fresh feel to a study or spare room. Velvet shades suit evening rooms where the lamp is on for long periods.

Questions People Ask

What does two tone mean on this velvet shade?
Each option is named with two colours, for example Navy and Gold. In our photos the first colour is what you see on the outside of the drum.

How does a velvet shade change the light?
Velvet is a dense fabric, so it gives a deeper, more subdued light than a thin silk or linen shade. It suits rooms where you want a cosy, low glow.

Which shade colours come with the nickel base?
Black and Prosecco, Dark Grey and Silver, Ivory and Champagne, Latte and Prosecco, Mink and Prosecco, Moss Green and Gold, Navy and Gold, and Sage Green and Prosecco.

What size is the shade?
It is a drum, 40cm across and 22cm deep, on a lamp that is 69cm tall in total.

Can I dim this table lamp?
Yes, with a suitable dimmable E27 lamp and a dimmer. The inline switch is for on and off.
