Can I use a shade with this?
Yes. Optional shades are available separately, and you can clip them on when you want to soften the light. You can also leave it bare if you prefer the sculptural look without any shade at all.

Will it be too bright without a shade?
It depends on the bulb you choose and the room size. An LED bulb at lower wattage will be gentler; a high wattage incandescent will be quite bright. The dimmer function gives you complete control either way.

How many can I hang in a run?
There's no strict limit—it depends on your electrical wiring and circuit capacity. As long as your circuit can handle the total wattage of all the bulbs combined, you can hang as many as you need. Popular configurations are three to five pendants along a kitchen island.
