Fabula Chatsworth Offset Open Curve Outdoor LED Wall Light IP65

A Tall Wall Light With an Off Centre Twist

This outdoor LED wall light is a long strip of metal with the top and bottom opened out into curved scoops, but the two are not the same. The upper scoop is much longer than the lower one, so the plain band sits below the middle. That uneven balance makes it feel designed rather than symmetrical. It is 50.8cm tall and 12.5cm wide, so it makes a real feature of a wall, and it is rated IP65.

Choosing Your Finish

Anthracite is a deep charcoal that stands out well against lighter render and pale brick. Cacao is a warm chocolate brown that looks good on timber cladding and honey coloured stone. Inside the scoops the metal is pale and slightly sparkly, which helps the light glow softly down the wall. It comes in one size only. If you would like an even, matching pair of scoops, the Even Open Curve in the same range offers that look in three heights.

Finishes and Specifications

How It Works

Two LEDs are built into the fitting, giving around 900 lumens of warm white light at 3000K with a CRI above 80. They shine from the long upper scoop and the shorter lower one, so the wall is lit above and below the plain centre band. There are no bulbs to buy or replace. It is not dimmable. This is a Class II fitting. We would always recommend having it installed by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

The IP65 rating makes it suitable for outdoor walls. Because it is tall and slim, it suits a stretch of wall that needs height, such as a tall entrance, a stairwell wall, the side of a bay window or a long garden wall. The offset shape gives the wall a little rhythm without adding clutter. On a narrow wall one light can be enough, and a pair makes a strong feature either side of a large door.

Questions People Ask

How tall is the Offset Open Curve wall light?
It is 50.8cm high and 12.5cm wide, and it projects 6cm from the wall. It is a long, slim fitting, so it is worth holding a tape measure against the wall first.

What does offset mean on this design?
The two curved scoops are different lengths. The upper one is longer and the lower one is shorter, which moves the solid band down below the middle of the fitting.

Does it light the wall above and below?
Yes. Two LEDs shine from the upper and lower scoops, giving a warm white 3000K glow of around 900 lumens in total.

Does it need a sheltered spot?
No. It is rated IP65, so it is suitable for exposed outdoor walls as well as covered ones.

Can I install it myself?
It is a hardwired outdoor wall light. We would always recommend having it installed by a qualified electrician.
