Slanted Edges That Wash Light Up and Down the Wall

This outdoor LED wall light is a smooth, curved shell with its top and bottom edges cut at a slant. Light spills out of the angled openings and up and down the wall, which gives a soft glow rather than a hard beam. It measures 12.5cm wide and 18cm high, and it is rated IP65, so it is made to stay outside through the British weather.

Choosing Your Finish

There are two finishes. Anthracite is a deep charcoal with a fine, slightly grainy texture that looks right against grey render, brick and dark cladding. Cacao is a rich chocolate brown that suits timber, stone and warmer wall colours. On both, the inside of the shell is pale and creamy, so the glow looks warm and gentle. The Chatsworth range also includes pierced and slatted designs if you want something more decorative elsewhere around the house.

How It Works

Two LEDs are built into the fitting and give around 900 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, with a colour rendering index above 80. The light leaves through the openings at the top and the bottom. Because the LEDs are integrated, there are no bulbs to buy or replace. It is not dimmable. This is a Class II fitting. We would always recommend having it installed by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

The IP65 rating makes it suitable for outdoor walls. It is a compact size, so it fits neatly beside a front door, on a porch wall, by a side gate or next to garden room doors. The slanted openings suit modern homes, but the plain curved body sits just as happily on traditional brick. Fitted in a pair at matching heights, it gives an entrance a tidy, balanced look.

Both ways. Light comes out of the slanted openings at the top and at the bottom, so it washes the wall above and below the fitting.
