This 800mm wall light has a slim oval diffuser finished in sand gold, with a recessed central plate that spreads a soft halo of LED light along its full length rather than a single hot spot. The warm gold finish and the colour of the light it gives off sit well together, making it feel like a considered piece rather than a plain strip.

Choosing Your Finish

This version comes in a warm sand gold finish. The Chandler design is also available in other lengths, and other finishes may be offered across the range too, so it is worth checking if gold is not quite the tone you are after.

How It Works

It is fitted with a 30W integrated LED, putting out around 1300 lumens at a warm 3000K colour temperature, with a colour rendering index above 80 for reasonably accurate colours. It is not dimmable. Wiring is to Class II standard, so it is double insulated and does not need a separate earth connection. Its IP20 rating means it is intended for dry indoor rooms only, rather than bathrooms.

Where It Works Best

Its low profile and even spread of light suit a corridor or hallway, either side of a bed as a softer alternative to a reading lamp, or spaced along a living room, kitchen, dining room or office wall for gentle background lighting.

Rather than throwing a direct beam, the recessed design lets the light wash out gently along the length of the fitting, which suits spaces where you want ambience over task lighting.
