The Chandler is a long, slim wall lamp that sits almost flat against the wall, with light bleeding gently around its edges rather than shining out directly. Stretching to 600mm, it has enough presence to act as a design feature in its own right, while staying quiet enough not to overwhelm the wall it's mounted on. In sand white, it reads as calm and understated, doing double duty as both light source and wall decoration.

How It Works

A single 24W LED is integrated along the length of the fitting, wired directly into the circuit so there's no bulb to change later on. It runs to Class II electrical standards, meaning no earth connection is needed during installation. The light itself is a warm 4000K with a CRI above 80 for natural colour rendering, spread across a 120 degree beam angle so it lights evenly rather than in a narrow strip. As it's rated IP20, it's suited to dry indoor rooms only.

Where It Works Best

At 600mm long, the Chandler suits either side of a bed, next to a mirror, or above a fireplace, where it adds ambient light and a sense of balance to the wall. It also works well spaced along a hallway or living room wall for softer background lighting, and its shallow 6cm projection keeps it close to the wall in tighter spaces like a narrow landing. Given its IP20 rating, it's not intended for bathrooms or any room where moisture is a factor.

Design Details

Built from metal with a polycarbonate and silicone diffuser, the Chandler creates its glow by letting light spill around the edge of the diffuser rather than shining straight out from it. Getting that even halo effect along the full 600mm length depends on how precisely the LED sits behind the diffuser, which is why the light looks so consistent from one end of the fitting to the other.
