It's dimmable if fitted with dimmable bulbs, though a compatible dimmer switch is needed to get the full effect. Electrically it's Class I, so it needs to be earthed as part of installation. With an IP20 rating, it's built for dry indoor spaces only and shouldn't be fitted anywhere it could be exposed to moisture, including bathrooms.
