This is the largest Cedar piece, a 150cm rectangular pendant carrying seven bulbs behind the same sculpted clear glass as the smaller wall light. It's built for scale, both in terms of the table it's designed to hang over and the 28kg it weighs once assembled, so it suits rooms where a long run of even light matters more than a compact single feature.

Choosing Your Finish

Polished nickel and clear sculpted glass carry through from the rest of the Cedar range, giving this larger piece the same refined, carved glass texture rather than a plain flat panel. Other finishes exist elsewhere in the range if nickel isn't the tone you're working with.

How It Works

Seven E14 bulbs, up to 20W each and not included, run along the length of the fitting, with the sculpted glass breaking up the light so it spreads rather than glares. This is a fixed drop pendant rather than an adjustable one, so no adaptor is needed, though your installer will set the final height based on your ceiling. It's wired to Class I standards, requiring an earth connection, and dims with dimmable bulbs. The IP20 rating restricts it to dry indoor rooms.

Where It Works Best

Given its size, this pendant is really built for long dining tables or generous kitchen islands, in living rooms, kitchens, dining rooms or wide hallways with the ceiling height to match. Before ordering, it's worth checking your ceiling structure can take the 28kg weight and that the space below is long enough to suit a 150cm fitting. Being IP20 rated, it isn't suitable for bathrooms or any room affected by damp.

Design Details

Scaling the Cedar design up to seven lights means the sculpted glass has to work harder to keep the light even across the full length, which is exactly what the carved texture is designed to do. Polished nickel supports at intervals along the bar keep the structure rigid without interrupting the run of glass.
