Fabula Bray Up & Down Outdoor LED Wall Light - Satin Gold & Black IP65

Matt Black Shells Lined With Satin Gold

The outside of this outdoor wall light is a textured black, while the inside of each curved shell is lined with satin gold. The gold carries through to the wall bracket, which gives the dark shape a warm edge. The two shells pinch in at the centre and open out at the top and bottom, and the two integrated LEDs send light both up and down your wall. It is IP65 rated, so it is ready for porches, patios and front doors.

Choosing Your Size and Finish

This version pairs a black outer with a satin gold lining and bracket, so from a distance it reads as a simple black shape and up close you see the gold inside. It sits happily with black window frames, brass door furniture and warm brick or stone. If you would rather have a cooler, greyer look, the Bray is also made in Silver and Anthracite. Choose from 35cm, 54cm or 76cm tall, with the same slim silhouette in every size.

Sizes and Specifications

How It Works

This LED wall light has its light source built in, so you never need to buy a bulb. According to the supplier it gives 750 lumens (plus or minus 5%) of 3000K warm white light, with a CRI above 80 and a 180 degree beam angle. The brightness is fixed because it is not dimmable. It is a Class II fitting. We would always recommend having it installed by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

Fitted outdoors on a dark wall, the gold lining shows up well and the up and down light grazes the surface above and below. It works nicely either side of a bi fold or double door, beside a garden room, or along a patio wall. The 76cm size makes a statement beside tall doors or on a gable, while the 35cm is a better match for a narrow side door. Fit a matching pair for a balanced look.

Questions People Ask

Is the Bray Satin Gold and Black wall light waterproof enough for outdoors?
It is rated IP65, which makes it suitable for outdoor walls, covered or exposed.

What colour is the inside of the shells?
The inside of each curved shell is satin gold, and so is the wall bracket. The outside is a textured black.

Can I choose a different brightness?
No. It is not dimmable and the supplier lists a fixed 750 lumens at 3000K warm white. If you want a softer glow in the evening, a lower position on the wall helps.

Which size should I pick for a front door?
The 35cm size is 34.5cm tall and 13cm wide, which suits beside a standard door. The 54cm and 76cm sizes are 53.5cm and 76cm tall, so they suit taller entrances and larger walls.

Is this something I can wire in myself?
We would always recommend having it installed by a qualified electrician. It is a Class II fitting.
