How It Works

It takes a single E27 bulb up to 20W maximum, not included, and can be dimmed with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Wired to Class I standards, it needs an earth connection as part of installation. With an IP54 rating, it's protected against dust and water splashing from any direction, which is enough to cover bathroom zones 1 and 2 as well as outdoor use, explained further in our guide to bathroom lighting zones.

Where It Works Best

Blandford is designed as an outdoor fitting, suited to a front door, garden wall or pathway where it'll be exposed to the weather. That same IP54 rating means it can also do double duty inside, in bathroom zones 1 and 2, if you need a wall light that copes with splashing water indoors too.

Design Details

Made from aluminium with a polycarbonate shade, the ribbing running around the body gives it more texture than a typical plain outdoor fitting, while the opal shade keeps the light itself soft rather than glaring. It's built to look purposeful on a wall rather than purely ornamental.
