Why is this not dimmable?
This particular model doesn't have a dimmer compatible switch, so you get full brightness on or off rather than a gradual adjustment. If dimming matters to you, the 30cm semi flush Amberley light does offer that feature.

Is it bright enough for reading in bed?
Yes, with a 60W bulb fitted you'll get plenty of light for reading, and if you prefer something softer for relaxing you can simply choose a lower wattage bulb instead.

Can I use an LED bulb?
Yes, any standard E27 LED bulb up to 60W will work well in this fitting, and LEDs will run cooler and use less energy than a traditional GLS bulb.
