Two E27 lamp holders sit beneath the shade, each taking a bulb up to 60W (GLS style, not supplied), controlled by an inline switch on the cable. It's dimmable as long as you fit dimmable bulbs, and being wired to Class II standards it's double insulated, so it doesn't need an earth connection. The IP20 rating means it's designed for dry indoor rooms only, not anywhere steamy or splashed with water.
