A Twisted Stem Floor Lamp With A Pleated Ikat Shade
The Twist floor lamp takes its name from the barley twist stem that runs the full height of the lamp, painted in a soft satin almond white. On top sits a hand made 40cm pleated shade in a digitally printed ikat design, in gentle neutral tones with a soft blush cast. It stands 160cm tall, so it is a proper full height floor lamp, and the gathered shade gives it a traditional, cottage feel that is easy to live with.
Satin Almond White Resin And A Printed Faux Silk Shade
The stem and stepped round base are moulded in resin and painted in a satin almond white, a warm off white rather than a bright white, with a small brass coloured lamp holder at the top. The shade is made by hand from faux silk fabric, digitally printed with an ikat pattern, then gathered into fine pleats on a tapered frame. The edges are taped and the inside has a plain lining, so the light comes through the pattern evenly when it is switched on.
How It Works
This is a plug in floor lamp, so there is nothing to wire. It takes one E27 screw cap LED bulb of up to 10W, and the bulb is not included. The lamp is not dimmable. An inline on off foot switch sits on the cream braided cable, which is 2 metres long in total, so you can switch the lamp with your foot from your chair. It is supplied with a European two pin plug and a UK three pin adapter, so it is ready to use in the UK straight from the box. The stem comes in two parts that fit together, and the shade sits on the lamp holder.

At 160cm tall with a 40cm shade, the Twist suits the corner of a living room, beside an armchair or a sofa, or next to a bed in a larger bedroom.
