The Ripple Curve wall light takes a round, ridged backplate of concentric rings in antique brass, adds a slender swept arm, and tops it with a 16cm pleated shade in an apricot orange and white zigzag print. The result is an antique brass wall light with real country house character, but the shade keeps it playful rather than stuffy.

The wall back is hand crafted from solid cast zinc and given a brass patina, so the ridges catch the light with a soft, aged glow instead of a mirror polish. From its centre a steel arm curves outwards and up, finishing in an authentic brass B22 lamp holder that disappears neatly inside the shade.

The shade is handmade with gathered pleats in a tapered shape and cut from digitally printed faux silk in an apricot orange zigzag. Its edges are taped and the inside is plain lined, which gives the orange a warm, even glow when the lamp is on. Switched off, the crisp pattern still reads as a splash of colour on the wall.

How It Works

This is a hardwired, wall mounted fitting rated Class I. It takes one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not supplied, and it is dimmable when used with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The shade comes in its own box and simply sits over the lamp holder once the fitting is on the wall.
