Endon Higgledy Table Lamp - Gloss Cotswold Green Paint & Leaf 25cm Herb Garden Green Fabric Shade

Stacked Green Spheres With A Leaf Print Shade

The Higgledy table lamp is a column of seven glossy metal balls, stacked one on top of the other and painted a cheerful Cotswold green. On top sits the 25cm Leaf shade, a pleated fabric cone printed with a small herb garden green leaf pattern on an off white ground. Together they make a green table lamp that feels playful rather than fussy, and it looks just as good on a bedside table as it does beside a reading chair.

Gloss Cotswold Green Steel And A Pleated Herb Garden Green Shade

The base is made from steel, with each sphere finished in a high gloss Cotswold green paint that catches the light and shows soft reflections across every ball. The round foot and the short lamp holder cover are painted to match, so the whole column reads as one colour from the table up to the shade.

The Leaf shade is handmade, with gathered pleats that taper from a wide bottom edge to a narrower top. The fabric is a digitally printed faux linen in herb garden green, a muted sage tone that sits quietly against the brighter base. A taped edge runs around the top and bottom rims, and a plain inner lining gives a warm, even glow once the bulb is lit.

How It Works

This is a plug in table lamp, so there is nothing to wire up. It takes one E14 small screw fitting LED bulb, which is not included, and it is not dimmable. You switch it on and off using the inline switch on the green braided fabric cable, which is colour matched to the base and 1.5 metres long in total. The lamp is supplied with a European two pin plug and a UK three pin adapter, so it is ready to plug in and use in the UK. The base comes assembled and the shade sits straight onto the lamp holder.

Where It Works Best

At 51.5cm tall with a 25cm shade, the Higgledy is a good size for a bedside table, a hallway console or a side table next to a sofa. The gloss green base is bold enough to be the colour accent in a neutral room, and the sage leaf print shade softens it, so it suits spaces with cream, oak or warm mustard tones already in them. A pair either side of a bed gives a relaxed, cottage style look, and it sits happily alongside other pieces from the Higgledy range if you want to carry the bobbin shape through the house.

Made By Endon Lighting

Endon Lighting is a British brand with a design heritage of more than 80 years, and the Higgledy was created by its UK based design team. The stacked bobbin column is a timeless decorative shape, but the glossy Cotswold green paint and the printed leaf shade give it a contemporary twist that works in modern interiors. That blend of old and new runs through everything Endon designs.
