The Halo Tall wall light takes its name from the round, stepped backplate that sits like a set of rings against the wall. A straight brass stem rises from a short horizontal arm, so the 16cm pleated shade is held well above the plate and the light spills upwards across the wall. It is a slender antique brass wall light with a lively green and white zigzag shade, and it looks just as good lit as it does switched off.

Cast Brass Patina And A Pleated Faux Silk Shade

The circular wall back is hand crafted from solid cast steel and given a brass patina finish, which has the dull, aged glow of old brass with a little variation in tone across the rings. The stem and arm are steel in the same antique brass colour, and the stem ends in an authentic brass B22 lamp holder.

The tapered shade is handmade, with gathered pleats running from the top rim to the bottom and a taped edge on both. The fabric is a digitally printed faux silk in a Cotswold green zigzag, with soft green bands feathering into white. Inside it is plain lined, so when the lamp is on the green warms up and the white bands glow, while the pattern stays sharp and clean when it is off.

How It Works

This is a hardwired, wall mounted fitting and it is rated Class I. It takes one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not supplied. It is dimmable when you fit a dimmable LED bulb and use a compatible dimmer switch. The shade comes in its own box and simply sits over the lamp holder once the brass fitting is fixed to the wall, so assembly takes a moment.

The Halo Tall measures 36.5cm high, 16cm wide and projects 20.5cm from the wall, so it has more height than most shaded wall lights and suits a wall with a bit of space around it.
