The Halo Tall wall light takes a simple idea and does it well. A round, ringed backplate in antique brass holds a slim upright stem, and a 16cm pleated shade in a neutral Ikat print sits on top. It is an antique brass wall light with a gentle, slightly faded look, and the print on the shade keeps it from feeling too formal.

Antique Brass Rings And A Pleated Neutral Ikat Shade

The wall back is hand crafted from solid cast steel and given a brass patina finish. The concentric rings on the backplate catch the light and give the fitting its name. From the centre, a short arm reaches out to a tall stem that carries an authentic brass B22 lamp holder at its tip.

The shade is handmade, with gathered pleats and a tapered shape. The fabric is a digitally printed faux silk in a neutral Ikat design, a blurred, feathered pattern in soft pink, peach, grey and cream. The top and bottom edges are taped and the inside is plain lined, so the glow is even and warm when the light is on.

How It Works

This is a hardwired wall light rated Class I. It uses one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not included. It is dimmable when fitted with a dimmable LED bulb and wired to a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting and the shade arrive in separate boxes. Once the wall bracket is fixed, the shade simply sits over the lamp holder.

The Halo Tall stands 36.5cm high, 16cm wide and projects 20.5cm from the wall, so it has more presence than a small bracket light while still sitting neatly on a panelled wall or beside a bed. Use a pair either side of a bedhead, a mirror or a chimney breast, or a single one on a landing. The soft pinks and greys in the shade suit cream, stone and pale grey walls, and work well with oak and painted furniture.
