Endon Diamond Curve Wall Light - Antique Brass & Zigzag 16cm Apricot Orange Fabric Shade

Warm Brass, Bright Apricot

The Diamond Curve wall light in apricot orange takes a cast brass wall bracket with a stepped diamond backplate and tops it with a 16cm pleated shade in a punchy orange and white zigzag print. It is a compact antique brass wall light with a lot of personality, the sort of piece that lifts a plain wall without shouting about it.

A Cast Brass Bracket And An Apricot Zigzag Shade

The backplate and arm are hand crafted from solid cast steel and given a brass patina finish, which is warmer and more mottled than polished brass and looks as though it has been on the wall for years. The arm curves out and down before sweeping up to an authentic brass B22 lamp holder.

The shade is handmade with gathered pleats and a tapered shape, cut from digitally printed faux silk in an apricot orange zigzag. The top and bottom edges are taped in plain orange and the inside is lined, so the colour deepens to a warm glow when the light is on and holds its crisp pattern when it is off.

How It Works

This is a hardwired wall light rated Class I. It takes one B22 LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not included, and is dimmable with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The shade is packed in its own box and sits over the lamp holder once the bracket is fixed to the wall, so there are two boxes to open and a little self assembly.

We recommend that this fitting is installed by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

It measures 21cm high and 16cm wide and projects 25.5cm from the wall, so it is a decorative accent rather than a room's main light. Use one above a bedside table, a pair either side of a mirror or chimney breast, or a run of them along a hallway. The apricot shade is lovely against cream, warm white and sage walls and picks up the tones in terracotta, rattan and warm oak.

Made By Endon Lighting

Endon Lighting is a British brand with a design heritage of more than 80 years, and its UK based design team is behind the Diamond Curve. The cast brass bracket is a timeless decorative form, while the apricot orange zigzag shade is a thoroughly contemporary influence. That mix is what Endon does well, and it is why this wall light is designed to sit as comfortably in a modern interior as a period one.
