A Diamond Backplate With An Apricot Orange Shade
The Diamond Angle wall light sets a stepped, diamond shaped cast backplate in antique brass against a crisp right angled arm and a 16cm pleated shade in an apricot orange and white zigzag print. The brass is quiet and traditional. The shade is anything but, and together they make a small antique brass wall light with real personality.
Antique Brass Casting And A Pleated Zigzag Shade
The wall back is hand crafted from solid cast steel and given a brass patina finish, so the surface has the gentle speckle and warmth of aged brass rather than a polished shine. A straight steel arm comes out from the centre of the diamond and turns up at a right angle to an authentic brass B22 lamp holder.
The tapered shade is handmade with gathered pleats and cut from digitally printed faux silk in an apricot orange zigzag pattern. The top and bottom edges are taped in plain orange and the inside is lined in plain fabric. Lit, the orange and white pattern glows warmly through the pleats. Unlit, it stays bright and graphic against the wall.
How It Works
This is a hardwired, wall mounted fitting rated Class I. It takes one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not supplied. It is dimmable when fitted with a dimmable LED bulb and used with a compatible dimmer switch. The shade is packed separately in its own box and simply sits over the lamp holder once the bracket is fixed to the wall.

At 25.5cm high, 16cm wide and 19.5cm deep from the wall, this is a compact accent light. It makes a cheerful bedside wall light, sits well in pairs either side of a bed, a mirror or a fireplace, and adds warmth to a hallway or a reading corner. The apricot orange shade looks especially good on cream, off white and soft grey walls and alongside oak, walnut and warm neutrals.
