A Sharp Diamond Backplate Softened By Cotswold Green
The Diamond Angle wall light is a small antique brass wall light with a strong line to it. A solid cast diamond shaped backplate holds a slim brass arm that runs straight out from the wall, then turns upward at a right angle to carry a 16cm pleated shade. The shade is printed with a soft green and white zigzag, which lifts what could be quite a formal bracket into something cheerful and easy to live with.
Cast Steel In A Brass Patina With A Cotswold Green Pleated Shade
The backplate is cast from solid steel by hand and given a brass patina finish, so the surface has a lightly aged, speckled warmth rather than a polished gleam. Its stepped diamond profile catches the light along each edge. The straight arm matches the finish and ends in an authentic brass B22 lamp holder.
The tapered shade is handmade with gathered pleats and cut from faux silk that has been digitally printed with a Cotswold green zigzag. The top and bottom edges are taped in plain green and the inside is lined, which keeps the pattern sharp when the lamp is off and gives a warm, even glow through the folds when it is on.
How It Works
This is a hardwired wall light rated Class I. It takes one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not included, and it can be dimmed when you fit a dimmable LED bulb and use a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting and the shade come in separate boxes. Once the bracket is on the wall, the shade simply sits over the lamp holder.

Where It Works Best
It stands 25.5cm high, 16cm wide and projects 19.5cm from the wall, so it gives a gentle pool of light rather than lighting a whole room. Fit one each side of a bed, flank a mirror or a chimney breast with a pair, or use a single light to warm up a landing or a downstairs cloakroom. The green zigzag shade looks at home against cream, soft grey and panelled walls and sits well with brass taps, rattan and painted wood.
