The Dahlia Swan wall light takes a round, ribbed cast backplate in antique brass, adds a swan neck arm that curves up and away from the wall, and finishes it with a 16cm pleated shade in an apricot orange and white zigzag print. Cast Brass Patina And A Pleated Faux Silk Shade

The backplate is hand crafted from solid cast steel with a sunburst pattern of ribs radiating from the centre, then given a brass patina finish. It looks aged rather than polished, with a soft depth of colour in the recesses. From it rises a slender steel arm in the same finish, curving like a swan neck and ending in an authentic brass B22 lamp holder.

The shade is handmade, gathered into pleats and tapered towards the top. It is cut from digitally printed faux silk in an apricot orange zigzag with soft, feathered edges to the pattern, trimmed with taped edges and lined in plain fabric inside. Lit, it throws a warm peach glow. Unlit, the print still looks bright and cheerful against a pale wall.

How It Works

This is a hardwired, wall mounted fitting rated Class I. It takes one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not supplied. It is dimmable when fitted with a dimmable LED bulb and used with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting and the shade arrive in two separate boxes, and the shade simply sits over the lamp holder once the backplate is fixed to the wall.
