A Ribbed Brass Backplate And A Swan Neck Arm
The Dahlia Swan wall light is built around a round, fluted cast backplate that fans out like the petals of a dahlia, with a slender swan neck arm rising from its centre. On top sits a 16cm pleated shade in a Cotswold green zigzag print. Together they make a compact antique brass wall light with far more personality than its size suggests.
Cast Steel, Brass Patina And A Pleated Zigzag Shade
Endon hand crafts the backplate from solid cast steel and gives it a brass patina finish, so the ribs catch the light in soft, aged tones rather than a polished gleam. The steel arm matches, curving up and out before it ends in an authentic brass B22 lamp holder.
The shade is made by hand from digitally printed faux silk, gathered into fine pleats and tapered towards the top. A taped edge runs around both rims and the inside is plain lined. Lit, the green and white zigzag softens into a warm glow. Unlit, the print reads clearly and the pale shade lifts the darker brass beneath it.
How It Works
This is a hardwired, wall mounted fitting. It is rated Class I. It takes one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not included, and it is dimmable when you fit a dimmable LED bulb and use a compatible dimmer switch. The shade is packed in its own box and simply sits over the lamp holder once the backplate and arm are fixed to the wall.
