A Fluted Dahlia Backplate In Antique Brass With A Vintage White Shade
The Dahlia Curve wall light takes its name from the round, fluted backplate, which is cast with deep radiating ribs like the petals of a dahlia head. A slim curved arm sweeps out from the centre to hold a 16cm tapered Ivy shade in vintage white fabric. The result is an antique brass wall light that feels traditional in its bones but calm and simple in the room.
Cast Brass Patina And A Cotton Mix Shade
The backplate is hand crafted from solid cast steel and given a brass patina finish, so the ribs catch the light while the recesses stay darker and softer, as old brass does. The arm is steel in the same finish and ends in an authentic brass B22 lamp holder.
The Ivy shade is handcrafted from a vintage white cotton mix fabric with a tapered shape and taped edges in a contrasting almond white. It is a subtle detail, but it gives the rim a neat, tailored line. Lit, the fabric glows a warm off white. Unlit, it reads as a clean pale cone against the brass.
How It Works
This is a hardwired wall light rated Class I. It uses one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not supplied. It is dimmable with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting arrives as two boxes, the wall bracket and the shade, and the shade simply sits over the lamp holder once the bracket is on the wall.
We recommend that this fitting is installed by a qualified electrician.
Where It Works Best
It measures 19cm high and 16cm wide, and projects 25.5cm from the wall, so it is a compact accent light. Fit one either side of a bed as a brass bedside wall light, pair two on a chimney breast, or run a few along a hallway or landing. The vintage white shade sits comfortably with panelling, warm neutrals, soft greys and sage greens, and suits both period homes and newer builds.
