A Scalloped Brass Backplate With A Soft Neutral Ikat Shade
The Dahlia Curve wall light takes a round, fluted backplate in antique brass, adds a slim swan neck arm and tops it with a 16cm pleated shade in a neutral ikat print. The pattern is a soft blur of pink, taupe and off white, so this is an antique brass wall light that feels gentle rather than grand, and it suits a quiet bedroom as easily as a smart sitting room.
Cast Brass Patina And A Hand Pleated Ikat Lamp Shade
The backplate is hand crafted from solid cast steel, with radiating ribs that give it the look of a dahlia flower head, and it is finished in a brass patina that has a lived in, antique warmth rather than a polished shine. A slender steel arm sweeps out and up from the centre to an authentic brass B22 lamp holder.
The ikat lamp shade is handmade, gathered into fine pleats and tapered towards the top. It is cut from digitally printed faux silk in a neutral ikat design, with taped edges top and bottom and a plain inner lining. Lit, the pleats glow a warm peach. Unlit, the print reads as soft pink and off white against the wall.
How It Works
This is a hardwired wall light. It is rated Class I. It takes one B22 LED bulb of up to 7W, not included, and it is dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting arrives as two boxes, the wall bracket and the shade, and the shade simply sits over the lamp holder once the bracket is on the wall.

It measures 19cm high and 16cm wide and projects 25.5cm from the wall, so it is a soft accent light rather than a room's main source. Mount a pair either side of a bed in place of table lamps, flank a chimney breast or a mirror, or run several along a hallway or landing. The neutral ikat print sits happily with warm whites, soft greys and dusky pinks, and the antique brass looks especially good against dark wood and velvet.
