Endon Cane Floor Lamp - Natural Bamboo & Leaf 40cm Herb Garden Green Fabric Shade

A Bamboo Floor Lamp With A Soft Green Leaf Print Shade

The Cane floor lamp stacks a column of smooth bamboo spheres on a round bamboo base, then finishes it with a 40cm pleated Leaf shade in a gentle herb garden green. The stem is pale and warm, the shade is printed with a fine leafy pattern on an off white ground, and together they feel calm and natural rather than showy. At 156cm tall with a 40cm shade, it fills a corner without dominating it. The print sits happily in both traditional and contemporary rooms.

Natural Bamboo And Pleated Faux Linen

Every sphere on the stem is bamboo wood with the grain left visible, so the colour runs from pale straw to a slightly deeper honey tone across the column. The base is a flat bamboo disc, 27cm across, that gives the lamp its footing. The shade is a hand made tapered shape in a faux linen fabric, digitally printed with a small scale leaf design in herb garden green, then gathered and pleated by hand. The top and bottom edges are taped, and the inside is lined in plain fabric so the light that comes through is soft and even.

How It Works

This is a plug in floor lamp, so there is nothing to wire. It takes one E27 screw cap LED bulb, which is not included, and it is not dimmable. The on off switch is on the lamp holder itself, just under the shade, with a small rocker that is easy to find in the dark. A 2 metre natural coloured braided cable runs from the base to a UK three pin plug. The stem arrives folded in three sections that slot together, and the shade sits on top of the lamp holder.

Where It Works Best

Beside a reading chair in a living room the Cane gives a warm pool of light at just the right height, and the green shade picks up well against cream walls, pale wood and woven furniture. It also suits a bedroom corner or a quiet spot in a home office. The bamboo stem fits coastal, cottage and Scandinavian schemes, and the leaf print adds a little pattern without clashing with cushions or curtains.

Made By Endon Lighting

Endon Lighting is a British brand with a design heritage of more than 80 years. Its UK based design team mixes contemporary influences with timeless decorative styles, and the Cane is a good example, a stacked bamboo stem that nods to classic turned wood but is drawn in a clean modern line. Paired here with the herb garden green Leaf shade, it is designed for modern interiors that still want a touch of warmth and pattern.

Questions People Ask

How tall is the Cane floor lamp?
It stands 156cm high with the Leaf shade on, and the shade is 40cm across at its widest point. The bamboo base and stem on their own are 134cm tall.

Is a bulb included with the Cane floor lamp?
No. It takes one E27 screw cap LED bulb, which you buy separately.

Can I dim the Cane floor lamp?
No, it is not dimmable. It switches on and off with a rocker switch on the lamp holder under the shade.

What plug does it come with?
A standard UK three pin plug on a 2 metre braided cable in a natural colour, so it is ready to plug in and use.

Will the bamboo look exactly like the photos?
Very close, but bamboo is a natural wood, so the grain pattern and the depth of the honey tone vary a little from lamp to lamp.

Is the shade green or cream?
Both. The fabric is an off white faux linen printed with a fine leaf pattern in a soft herb garden green, so from a distance it reads as a muted sage green.
