Endon Burley Rechargeable Floor Lamp - Brushed Aged Brass Plate & Leaf 25cm Herb Garden Green Fabric Shade

A Cordless Rechargeable Floor Lamp In Brass And Leaf Green

The Burley is a rechargeable floor lamp, so there is no cable to run and no socket to find. A slim brushed aged brass stem rises 140cm to a 25cm pleated shade in Endon's herb garden green leaf print, and the whole lamp weighs just over two kilos. Charge it, carry it to wherever you want light, and turn it on with a touch.

Brushed Aged Brass And A Pleated Leaf Print Shade

The stem and round base are steel with a brushed aged brass plated finish, a soft warm gold rather than a bright polish, with a small turned collar part way up the stem. The Leaf shade is made by hand, gathered and pleated into a tapered shape, from a faux linen fabric digitally printed with a fern like leaf pattern in herb garden green on an off white ground. A taped edge finishes the top and bottom rims and the inside is lined in plain fabric, so the light through it is soft and even.

How It Works

This is a cordless floor lamp with an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy and no plug. The LED gives a warm white light at 2700K and is dimmable in three stages through a touch button on the lamp holder: one touch for a low 40 lumens, a second for 80 lumens and a third for the full 155 lumens. A 3.7V 3600mAh lithium battery is built in and included. It charges in around 5.5 hours using the USB C to USB A cable supplied, and a full charge gives up to 36 hours of light on the low setting, around 18 hours on medium or around 10 hours at full brightness.

Where It Works Best

Because it needs no socket, the Burley goes where other floor lamps cannot, in the middle of a room, by a window seat, in a hallway or on a landing. The light is gentle rather than bright, so think of it as mood lighting beside an armchair or in a bedroom corner rather than a reading lamp. The brass and green pairing suits country, cottage and traditional rooms, and looks right next to painted furniture, botanical prints and natural textures.

Made By Endon Lighting

Endon Lighting is a British brand with a design heritage of more than 80 years. Its UK based design team combines contemporary influences with timeless decorative styles, and the Burley shows both sides of that: a rechargeable LED lamp designed for modern interiors, dressed in an aged brass finish and a printed leaf shade that would not look out of place in a far older house.
