Endon Arlo Floor Lamp - Antique Brass Plate & Rattan 52cm Dark Rattan Shade

An Antique Brass Floor Lamp With A Natural Rattan Shade

Here the Arlo floor lamp pairs a slim antique brass plated stem with a hand crafted rattan shade in warm brown. It stands 160cm tall and the shade measures 52cm across, so it has real presence in a room while the stem itself stays light and unfussy. The warm metal and the natural weave sit comfortably together, and because rattan is a natural material, the colour and weave vary a little from one shade to the next.

Antique Brass Plated Steel And Hand Crafted Rattan

The stem and the round base are steel with an antique brass plate finish, a soft aged gold tone rather than a bright polished brass. The shade is woven by hand from rattan in a tapered coolie shape, wide at the rim and narrow at the top ring. When the lamp is on, light glows through the gaps in the weave as well as spilling out of the bottom, which gives a gentle dappled effect on nearby walls.

How It Works

The Arlo is a plug in floor lamp, so there is no wiring to do. It takes one E27 screw cap LED bulb, which is not included. It is not dimmable. An inline foot switch sits on the 2 metre black braided cable, so you can switch it on and off with your foot. It is supplied with a European two pin plug and a UK three pin adapter, so it is ready to use in a UK socket.

Where It Works Best

This rattan floor lamp earns its place beside an armchair or at the end of a sofa, where the broad shade sends a warm pool of light down onto the seat. It also suits a bedroom corner or a reading spot in a home office. The antique brass finish pairs well with cream, terracotta, sage green and natural wood, and the look sits comfortably in boho, coastal and relaxed contemporary rooms.
