Matt Black Steel And Hand Crafted Scalloped Cotton

The base and stem are made from steel, powder coated in a matt black that stays understated and does not catch reflections. The round foot is weighted to keep the tall stem steady. The Ayla shade is made by hand from cotton fabric in a tapered coolie shape, pleated and scalloped along the lower edge. The vintage white tone is a little warmer than a pure white, closer to ivory, and when the lamp is switched on the cotton glows softly with a gentle cream cast.

How It Works

This is a plug in floor lamp, so there is no wiring to do. It takes one E27 screw cap LED bulb, which is not included. The lamp is not dimmable. An inline foot switch sits on the cable, 1.5 metres from the plug and half a metre from the lamp, so you can switch it on and off with your toe. The cable is black braided PVC and runs 2 metres in total. The lamp is supplied with a European two pin plug and a UK three pin adapter, so it is ready to use in the UK straight out of the box. The stem folds and comes in three parts that fit together on assembly.
