Endon Arlo Floor Lamp - Antique Brass Plate & Avalon 52cm Natural Linen Shade

A Tapered Natural Linen Shade On A Slim Antique Brass Stem

This version of the Arlo floor lamp pairs a slender antique brass plated stem with the Avalon shade, a 52cm tapered coolie in a natural, oatmeal toned faux linen fabric. The brass has a soft, slightly aged warmth rather than a mirror shine, and the pale shade sits lightly on top of it. It is a classic antique brass floor lamp shape, the kind that fits quietly beside a chair and looks right in most rooms. At 160.5cm tall with a 52cm wide shade, it is a full height lamp rather than a small accent piece, so check the space before you order.

Antique Brass Plated Steel And Natural Faux Linen

The base and stem are steel with an antique brass plated finish, a muted gold tone with a brushed look. The round base is weighted so the thin stem stays steady. The Avalon shade is a tapered cone in a linen effect fabric in a natural, off white to oatmeal colour. When the lamp is on, the fabric diffuses the light so the shade glows gently as well as throwing light down towards the floor.

How It Works

The Arlo is a plug in floor lamp, so there is no wiring to do. It takes one E27 screw cap LED bulb, which is not included. It is not dimmable. The black braided cable is 2 metres long in total, with an inline foot switch set into it, so you can turn the lamp on and off with your foot. It is supplied with a European two pin plug and a UK three pin adapter, so it is ready to plug in at home. The stem arrives in three parts that screw together, and the shade fits on the lamp holder at the top.

Where It Works Best

Put it beside a sofa or reading chair in a living room, where the wide shade gives a soft, even wash of light. It also suits a bedroom corner or a desk in a home office. Antique brass and natural linen is a gentle pairing that works with warm neutrals, cream walls, oak floors and marble, and it fits classic, country and softly contemporary rooms alike.
