A Scalloped Brass Wall Back Beneath A Green Zigzag Shade
The Anvil Curve wall light starts with a solid cast backplate in antique brass, its edge shaped into soft scallops, and sends a slim curved arm out to hold a 16cm pleated shade in Cotswold green and white zigzag. It is an antique brass wall light with real character, old fashioned in its bones and cheerful in its colour.
Cast Steel, A Brass Patina And A Hand Pleated Faux Silk Shade
The wall back is hand crafted in solid cast steel and given a brass patina finish, so the surface has the dull, slightly uneven glow of aged metal and no two plates look quite the same. The arm sweeps down and up again in a single curve and finishes in an authentic brass B22 lamp holder.
The tapered shade is handmade from digitally printed faux silk in a green and white zigzag, gathered into pleats and finished with a taped edge top and bottom. Inside it has a plain lining. Lit, the pleats throw the pattern into soft relief and the green warms up towards gold. Unlit, it reads as a crisp sage and white print.
How It Works
This is a hardwired wall light rated Class I. It takes one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not supplied. It is dimmable when fitted with a dimmable LED bulb and wired to a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting is self assembly in the simplest sense: the backplate and arm go on the wall, and the shade, which arrives in its own box, sits over the lamp holder.

Where It Works Best
It measures 19.5cm high and 16cm wide and projects 25.5cm from the wall, so it is a compact accent light rather than a room filler. Use it as a bedside wall light in place of a table lamp, hang a pair either side of a mirror or chimney breast, or brighten a dark hallway corner. The green zigzag shade looks lovely against pale panelling and off white walls, and it is just as happy on a deep terracotta or pink wall where the brass picks up the warmth.
