A lattice of gold, lit from within
The Ziggy pendant takes a plain drum shade and cuts it into an openwork diamond lattice, so light escapes through dozens of small gaps as well as glowing softly through the opal glass beneath. Switched on, it throws pattern and shadow rather than one flat glow, more piece of jewellery than plain shade.
Lacquered gold
The pierced outer shade is steel finished in a warm lacquered gold, held in place top and bottom by a plain gold band. Inside sits a white opal glass diffuser, which is what actually softens the bulb, the lattice outside is there for pattern and shadow rather than to diffuse the light itself.
How It Works
This is the small duo mount version of Ziggy, which can be hung on its rods or fitted close to the ceiling as a semi flush light. It comes with rods that let you set the drop anywhere from 23.5cm up to 117.5cm, or you can leave them off entirely for a low profile semi flush fit if your ceiling height is tighter. It takes one E27 bulb, not included, and is happy with dimmable bulbs if you want to bring the mood down in the evening.

A single Ziggy pendant suits a small dining table, a reading corner or a hallway where you want some pattern rather than a plain shade. Because the drop is adjustable, it also works well over a landing or stairwell where the ceiling height changes, and the semi flush option means it can go in a room where headroom is tighter.
