The York pedestal lantern is a scaled down version of a coach lantern raised up on its own short post, built for marking an entrance rather than lighting a whole path.
Cast in black
The lantern head sits on a tapered pedestal and square base plate, all cast from diecast aluminium and finished in black, with the same textured glass panels used across the York range so the bulb glows rather than glares.
How it works
Takes a single E27 bulb, not included, and is dimmable if a dimmable bulb is fitted. It carries an IP43 rating, so it's happy sitting outside in ordinary weather.
Where it works best
Perfect either side of a driveway, front gate or garden gate where you want a matching pair marking the way in, or as a single fitting on a low wall or gate pillar.
It belongs to Elstead Lighting's York range, one of the brand's long running takes on the traditional coach lantern.
