Elstead Woolwich Single Table Lamp - Textured Graphite & White Glaze

There's a bit of theatre to the Woolwich table lamp: a graphite ceramic base that looks almost molten towards its foot, with a white reactive glaze pooling and dripping down from the neck like frost caught mid melt.

A finish that's one of a kind

Because the glaze reacts differently in the kiln every time, no two Woolwich bases come out looking quite the same, so treat the photos as a guide to the general look rather than an exact match for the one that arrives. A pale grey faux linen tapered shade sits on top, finished with a polished nickel finial, and the lamp is wired with a handy inline switch.

How it works

It takes a single E27 bulb (not included) and is dimmable if you fit a dimmable one, so it can go from a proper reading light to something much softer for the evening. A little simple assembly is needed to get it ready for use.

Where it works best

Standing around 65cm tall with a generous 26 to 30cm shade, it has enough scale for a living room console or sideboard, though it also makes an eye catching oversized bedside lamp or a talking point on a hallway table.
