Steady, even light for a bigger piece
The Winchfield 4 Light Large Picture Light is built for artwork and mirrors too wide for a single lamp to light evenly. A shallow curved brass shade runs the length of the piece, holding four lamps along its inside edge so the light spreads evenly from corner to corner rather than pooling in the middle.
Aged brass
Shade, twin support arms and wall plate are all finished in the same aged brass, a warm, slightly antiqued tone with no lacquer sheen. Because every part shares the one finish, the fitting reads as a single continuous piece of metal rather than a shade bolted onto a separate bracket.
How It Works
Four E14 lamps sit inside the shade, spaced along its length so a wide picture or a run of frames gets consistent coverage rather than a bright centre and dim edges. Each of the two support arms pivots where it meets the wall plate and again where it meets the shade, so the angle can be set once the light is fitted and adjusted afterwards to correct any glare on glass or a varnished canvas. Fit dimmable bulbs and the light will respond to a dimmer switch.
Where It Works Best
Use it over a large painting, a wide mirror, or several smaller frames hung close together, in a living room, dining room, bedroom or hallway. Because it shares its aged brass finish and curved shade design with the two lamp Winchfield, the two sizes can be mixed in the same room, over a run of different sized pictures, without looking mismatched.
Elstead Lighting
