The bigger sibling, built for bigger pictures

This is the four lamp version of the Winchfield, using the same curved brass shade as the rest of the range but doubling up the fixing arms so it holds steady and lights more evenly along its length. It is a straightforward way to get proper, even coverage across a piece that a single central lamp would only light in the middle.

The finish

Shade, twin arms and backplate are all in the same warm aged brass, with no lacquer sheen, so the whole fitting reads as one continuous piece of metal rather than a shade bolted to a separate bracket.

How it works

Four lamps run along the inside of the shade, spreading the light more evenly across a wide piece than a single central lamp could manage, and each arm still pivots at the wall plate and again at the shade, so you can fine tune the angle once it is fitted.

Where it works best

Reach for this version when a piece needs brighter, more even coverage than two lamps can give, whether that is a large painting, a wide mirror, or a run of artwork hung close together. It carries the same aged brass look as the two lamp Winchfield lights, so the two can be mixed around a room without looking mismatched.

Elstead has built variations on this adjustable, curved shade design for a long time, and the larger four lamp version simply scales the idea up for rooms with bigger walls to light.
