A lantern that lights the wall, not the path

The Wexford up wall lantern is built to send its light skyward rather than down towards the ground. A hexagonal chamber of leaded, diamond patterned glass sits above a scrolled wall bracket, with a slender flame shaped finial finishing the roof, giving it the look of a traditional coach lantern turned to face upward.

The finish is a deep black base with brushed silver worked through the roof dome, finial and bracket, giving the metalwork real depth rather than a single flat colour. The diamond leadwork sits proud of the glass and reads cleanly from either side, day or night.

How It Works

A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the glass chamber. The bulb itself isn't included, so you can choose one to suit the light level and colour you want, and it will run on a dimmer switch if you fit a dimmable bulb. Because the lantern faces upward, the light spreads up the wall behind it rather than shining straight out or down, and the fitting carries an IP44 rating so it's built to cope with rain and damp air outdoors.

It suits a porch, either side of a front door, or spaced along a garden wall where you want the light to wash up the brickwork rather than pool on the ground.
