Elstead Wexford Single Pedestal Lantern - Black & Silver

A short pillar light for gateways and paths

Sitting on its own flared pedestal base, the Wexford Pedestal Lantern is a ground level version of the taller lamp post, at just over half a metre high. It suits spots where a full height post would be too much, but a wall light would not give the same definition.

Finish

Finished in black with brushed silver worked into the base, dome and finial, the pedestal picks up light from all sides thanks to its slightly raised setting on a wall or gatepost.

How it works

A single E27 lamp sits behind glass with a leaded diamond detail on each face, so light comes through the textured panes on all four sides rather than in one direction.

Where it works best

Its low, freestanding shape makes it a natural choice for marking a driveway entrance, gate post or the corners of a path, particularly in pairs. It follows the same design as the wall and chain lanterns in the Wexford range, so it is straightforward to keep the whole approach to a house matching.
