Elstead Wexford 2 Light Lamp Post - Black & Silver

A lamp post built to mark the way home

Wexford stands well over two metres tall, carrying two carriage style lantern heads on a fluted column that tapers down into a solid octagonal base. It is not a subtle porch light. This is a fitting designed to be the first thing you notice coming up the drive, and the last thing you see leaving it.

Black and brushed silver

The cast metal body is finished in black, with brushed silver worked into the flutes, mouldings, finials and lantern caps. That contrast keeps the detailing readable from a distance, whether it is caught by daylight or picked out against a dark garden at night.

How It Works

Each lantern head takes its own E27 bulb, held behind glass panels pressed with a leaded diamond motif, so light scatters out through all four sides rather than casting straight down. Fit dimmable bulbs and the pair can be run from a dimmer switch. Bulbs are not included, and as with any permanent outdoor electrical fitting, installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

At close to 2.3 metres tall, Wexford is built for open ground rather than a doorway: a driveway, a long front path, or the entrance to a larger garden where it can stand as a marker from some distance away. It is IP44 rated, so it copes with rain and damp once wired in.

What bulbs does the Wexford lamp post take? Two E27 bulbs, one per lantern head. We would recommend an LED E27 for outdoor use, and bulbs are not included.
