The Welland Mini is a scaled down take on Elstead's Welland flush fitting: a shallow, ridged bowl finished in polished chrome with a soft opal diffuser set into the centre. The stepped edge catches the light in a series of fine reflective bands, giving an otherwise simple shape some real presence overhead.

Polished chrome finish

This version is built from mild steel and finished in polished chrome, buffed to a bright, mirror like shine that reflects the colours of the room around it. Two knurled fixing screws are visible on the rim, a small detail that fits the fitting's slightly traditional, ridged styling. The same shape is also offered in polished brass and aged brass, so the finish can be kept consistent across a landing, hallway or run of ceiling lights.

How it works

A single 12W LED module is integrated behind the opal diffuser, so there are no separate bulbs to source or swap later on. Fixing points sit beneath the rim and the whole fitting sits almost flat against the ceiling or wall, which suits rooms with lower ceiling heights or anywhere a projecting shade would feel too bulky.

At 24.5cm across and only 4.8cm deep, its compact, low profile shape makes it a natural fit for smaller rooms. It can be mounted on either a wall or a ceiling depending on the space, and its scale makes it easy to repeat two or three across a hallway or landing for even, consistent light.
