A single blade of light
Verity takes the classic torchiere shape and pares it right back to a slender tapering column that narrows to a fine point beneath a faceted glass shade. In polished chrome the whole fitting reads as a bright, mirror sharp line on the wall, catching the light along every bevelled edge even before the bulb is switched on.
Polished chrome
The solid brass body is plated in a high shine polished chrome, giving Verity a cool, reflective finish rather than the warmer tone of the brushed brass or gold versions in the same range. Above it, the shade is cut glass pressed into a dense diamond pattern, breaking the bulb's light into hundreds of small glinting points rather than one flat glow.
How it works
A single G9 bulb sits inside the faceted shade, with light escaping both upward through the textured glass and out into the room below. Fit a dimmable G9 bulb and the fitting responds to a dimmer switch, taking the output from a soft backdrop glow to something brighter. Verity is wired directly into the wall rather than plugged in, so we always recommend a qualified electrician handles the installation.
Where it works best
Because the column has such a narrow footprint, Verity suits tight spots that would swallow a wider wall light: flanking a bathroom mirror, spaced either side of a hallway console, or run as a pair along a landing. It also works well mounted singly as a slim accent beside a chimney breast or alcove.
Elstead Lighting
Verity is part of the Elstead Lighting collection. The brand takes its name from The Elstead Forge in Alton, Hampshire, where its history began, and remains led by the same Lucas family today. The same tapering silhouette is also available in brushed brass and polished gold, making it straightforward to match a pair of fittings or extend the look into a neighbouring room finished in a different metal.

Is the Verity wall light dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable G9 bulb. A non dimmable bulb will not dim even on a dimmer switch circuit.
