A neat drum of light for close quarters
The Tamar flush fitting sits close to the ceiling in a simple drum shape, which makes it a natural fit for bathrooms, en suites and any room where headroom is tight. A cylindrical opal glass diffuser spreads the light evenly rather than throwing a single hot spot, held in a mild steel frame finished in polished chrome.
Finish and details
The chrome plating has a bright, mirror like shine, and two knurled thumb screws on the outer edge echo the classic detailing carried through the rest of the Tamar range, along with a small central finial on the underside of the glass. It reads as comfortably at home in a period bathroom as it does in a newer build.
How it works
Tamar takes a single GX53 LED lamp, so once it is wired in there is no visible lampholder, just the glass diffuser glowing evenly from within. The fitting is IP44 rated, so it can go directly above a bath or shower zone as well as in hallways, landings and anywhere else ceiling height is limited.
Where it works best
Beyond the bathroom, the low profile shape suits corridors, box rooms, porches and loft conversions with sloped or lowered ceilings, wherever a pendant would hang too low.
