A quiet drum of light
Strip back the details and the Tamar is just a glass drum and a metal ring, but the finish on that ring is what changes the character of the fitting.
Polished gold finish
In polished gold, the ring and the small central finial take on a warm, bright tone against the cylindrical opal glass, giving the same simple shape a richer feel than its polished chrome sibling.
How It Works
One GX53 LED lamp sits behind the glass, and because the diffuser is opal rather than clear, the light spreads evenly across the whole drum instead of showing the lamp as a single bright point. Some simple assembly is needed to fit the glass to the ceiling plate during installation.
Where It Works Best
At 29cm across and 9.5cm deep, it sits close to the ceiling, which suits bathrooms and other rooms where headroom is limited, such as a landing or a corridor with a lower ceiling. The same drum shape is also available in polished chrome, so it is easy to carry the look through more than one room.

Can I dim this fitting? Yes, as long as a dimmable GX53 LED lamp is fitted. A non dimmable lamp will not respond to a dimmer switch.
How far does the Tamar sit below the ceiling? The drum measures 29cm across and projects 9.5cm down, so it sits close to the ceiling for a room with limited headroom.
