The St Martins is the larger version of Elstead's box lantern design, built with two lights rather than one, sharing the same domed cap and front vent as its smaller relatives but with noticeably more presence on the wall.
Aged brass gives it a warm, slightly muted gold tone rather than a mirror shine, so the detail in the cap and glazing bars reads clearly without throwing glare.
How it works
Two E27 bulbs sit side by side behind the clear glazed panels, giving noticeably more light than a single lantern of this style, useful anywhere a porch or entrance needs more than a gentle glow.
Where it works best
Its scale suits a larger porch, a wide entrance, or a boundary wall, anywhere a single small lantern would look lost.
Like the St James, the St Martins is part of Elstead's Olde England range, built around historic lantern shapes rather than one particular house or period.
