A weathered green lantern for the front door
The Regents Park wears its age on the surface. A soft verdigris patina in green and blue tones spreads unevenly across every panel of the solid brass case, so it already looks like it has hung on a wall for decades, without any of the wait real weathering would take.
The Verdigris Finish
Underneath that patina the lantern is solid brass and glass, built in the same half lantern shape as the rest of the Regents Park design. A curved, bell shaped roof rises to three ball finials, and a pierced fretwork border runs along the top and bottom edges, letting light spill out through the open scrollwork as well as through the four glazed side panels.
How It Works
A single E27 lamp holder sits on a bracket inside the glazed case, positioned so the bulb itself is visible through the front panel rather than hidden behind a shade. Fit a dimmable LED lamp and it will respond to a dimmer switch. The fitting is wired to Class I standard, so it needs an earth connection and we recommend installation by a qualified electrician.
Where It Works Best
The green patina sits particularly well against stone, render or weathered brick, which makes Regents Park a natural fit for front doors, porches and garden walls where a coastal or period character is wanted. It's rated IP44, so it's built to withstand rain and damp outdoor air rather than needing a sheltered spot.
