The Regents Park lantern has a classic half lantern silhouette, its bevelled brass roof curving up to a peak between three ball finials. Cast in solid brass and warmed with an aged patina, it already looks like it's been keeping watch by a front door for years.
A pierced fretwork band runs along the top and base of the glazed case, framing clear glass panels on all four sides so the light spreads outward rather than staying trapped behind a single pane.
How It Works
It takes a single E27 bulb, held on a bracket inside the case and dimmable with the right lamp fitted. Wiring is Class I.
Where It Works Best
Mount it beside a front door, over a porch, or along a garden wall where its brass tones and traditional shape suit period and country style exteriors.
It's part of Elstead's Olde England collection, a series of lantern designs drawn from pre-Georgian shapes, so there are companion pieces if you're lighting more than one spot around the house.
